RMG's #SayItAgainSunday: Rhymes Reasons interview w/Norman Finkelstein (March 23, 2017)
On this past Thursday, we had a special edition of Rhymes Reasons (March 23rd) at 7 PM CST/8 PM EST and we had as our guest, none other than, the world renown, anti-Zionist scholar, Norman Finkelstein. Dr. Finkelstein is an American political scientist, activist, professor, and author. His primary fields of research are the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the politics of the Holocaust, an interest motivated by the experiences of his parents who were Jewish Holocaust survivors.
While Norman Finkelstein is no stranger to controversy, his work shows that he is no stranger to justice either. He is the author of ten books that have been translated into 50 foreign editions, which include Image and Reality of the Israel-Palestine Conflict (1995), The Holocaust Industry: Reflections on the exploitation of Jewish suffering (2000), Beyond Chutzpah: On the misuse of Antisemitism and the abuse of history (2005) and "This Time We Went Too Far": Truth and consequences of the Gaza invasion (2010).
It was a wonderful talk between two grizzled war veterans for justice. We discussed issues such as Israeli imperialism, the occupation of the West Bank, the blockade of Gaza, the BDS movement and much, much more. Listen to this broadcast and I guarantee you will come away greatly impressed with the work, and life, of Dr. Norman Finkelstein.
